
Treeverse Waiheke – Climb the Tree to See the World is an interactive event designed to connect people with trees through the unique experience of tree climbing. The event highlights the skills, techniques, and values of arboriculture, offering opportunities to learn more about trees and the work of professional arborists.The programme includes two parts. The first is a guided tree-climbing introduction open to children and adults who are curious to experience climbing a tree using ropes and equipment similar to those used by arborists. This session focuses on safety, connection with nature, and hands-on learning.The second part features an Open Masters Team Treeverse competition for professional arborists. This team-based challenge involves navigating a parkour-style climbing course across multiple trees, showcasing technical skill, teamwork, and communication. While participation is limited to professionals, spectators are welcome to watch and learn from this impressive display of expertise.This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival taking place Saturday 22 March – Tuesday 22 April 2026.
