Waiheke
Join us for a fun and inclusive kayaking experience — whether learning for the first time, rediscovering a past passion, or bringing mokopuna along for the ride. Zo’s Kayaks’ versatile fleet accommodates all ages (3+ years) and abilities. Detachable child seats allow little ones to ride safely with an adult, while children aged 10+ can learn to paddle independently. Older participants are warmly welcome, with no exceptional strength or agility required. Assistance getting in and out of kayaks is available, along with seat padding for added comfort, and towing support can be arranged if needed. Safety is prioritised, ensuring an enjoyable and supportive experience for everyone.
Marked circuits will cater to different ability levels, with optional fun challenges for more confident paddlers. After time on the water, participants can visit the Rocky Bay Hall Café for delicious food and great coffee.
Please bring sunscreen, a hat, togs, a towel, a change of clothes (just in case), and beach shoes or water sandals. Lifejackets/buoyancy vests are provided, although participants are welcome to bring their own. Those with their own kayaks are also welcome to join.
This event offers a wonderful opportunity to connect generations within the community while enjoying time together on the water in the beautiful bay.
